Cape Adventure · our location
A wild landscape that lends itself to adventure and exploration

Our base, the adventure school, is in a remote and tranquil setting on the shore of a sheltered sea loch, Loch a’Chadh-Fi (a branch of the larger Loch Laxford). It is reached by a 10-minute walk along the loch shore from our car park near the croft of Skerricha.

Many of our activities take place on and around Loch a’Chadh-Fi, including sea kayaking, orienteering, climbing and abseiling, and survival night on one of the islands in the loch.

We are overlooked by three distinctive mountains, Ben Stack, Arkle and the Foinaven ridge, whose summits can be reached on hillwalks and our mountain expeditions.

A little further afield are the superb coastal walks to Sandwood Bay and Cape Wrath, and the fabulous beach at Balnakeil, near Durness, where you can try land yachting and bodyboarding.
