Staff vacancies

Full-time positions for instructors, trainee instructors and a cook are available each summer season, from April to September. These positions suit mature self-starters with a genuine interest in working with adults and young people in a remote highland setting, providing activities on a highly professional and personal level.

Applicants should be committed to the whole season and have relevant working knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience of the activities we offer - Sea kayaking, Climbing, Hill walking, Orienteering, Land Yachting, Wild camping, Survival and other activities. Remuneration is based on qualifications and experience.

If you feel your skill base and qualifications meet our requirements and you would enjoy working in our challenging environment as part of a close-knit, enthusiastic team, we would like to hear from you. Please send your full and current CV to Rebecca at info@capeadventure.co.uk

Please have a thorough look at our website before applying.

N.B. We are happy to take on students for placements for a minimum of 3 months only.

Induction and staff training course

We believe that the essence of a successful staff team is to run an intensive induction and training course for a month. Successful applicants will be required to attend the induction and training course so that they may be introduced to the philosophy and values of Cape Adventure International as well as covering all aspects of the company's operational procedures, health and safety policy and acquire general working knowledge of the environment they will be working in and generally feel comfortable working at Cape Adventure. Our induction and training period forms the corner stone of our safety culture.

Staff accommodation, food and days off

We offer our staff comfortable accommodation at the centre in single, twin and bunk rooms. Accommodation and food is inclusive in staff's remuneration package. Food consists of 3 high energy meals a day which are also available on days off. Members of staff receive one official day off a week but there are often other days that become available due to particular course dates and changeovers.

Staff kit

We have various trade accounts and are able to offer staff members generous discounts on items of kit and clothing they may require for the season.
